DJ Peanut, also known as Phanna Nam, is an experienced DJ with almost 30 years of experience in the music industry. He started his career as a breakdancer for a professional crew called Massive Monkees, which introduced him to turntables and DJing. Phanna has since spun at festivals, clubs, and private events in the US and Asia, including for a Ja Rule and Ashanti event.
Phanna's musical inspiration comes from hip hop, R&B, electronic, and freestyle music, with a love for 70s, 80s, and 90s hip hop. He prides himself on transporting his listeners back in time and embodying nostalgia. Phanna is a versatile DJ with a unique insight into what kind of music people like to dance to, making him gifted in reading the crowd and creating an unforgettable atmosphere.
In his free time, Phanna enjoys watching the Seattle Seahawks and smoking meat. He looks forward to starting a family with kids of his own someday. They arrived 15 minutes before they were even supposed to be here set up and were extremely professional!! DJ Peanut was awesome and played great music and kept everyone having fun and dancing. The Photo Booth was so much fun to have and well worth the $$$. They created a customized photo frame for each picture. I even added an extra hour of DJ at the last minute and they gave me a special package rate on the event since I booked both. “I was referred to Lotus Event Pros by another DJ who was unavailable for my 50th birthday party. But, I am so glad I met Scott the owner of Lotus and his professional team to DJ my party. From the first point of contact, he was professional, courteous, followed up on time and made sure he listened to all of my requests for the party. He assigned DJ Peanut and he was amazing! I am a 90's hip hop kid and wanted a mix of 80's, 90's and today's top hits as well as Latin (salsa and merengue) songs. Well, DJ Peanut spun all of it and more. He was on time, courtesy, efficient and was set up and ready to go by the time the guests arrived. He was a first class professional DJ that spun all the best songs that all my friends wanted his playlist. He was fun and had an all around positive vibe.
